Played 9th grade freshman baseball and summer played on Wenatchee Blues American Legion. His Sophomore year was named to the 1st team for the CBL league as a Relief pitcher. He played with the Blues again that summer. In October 2007 he was diagnosed with High Risk Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and lived in Seattle for 8 months while under going treatment. He is continuing treatment and his cancer is in remission. His junior year he was pretty much not able to play due to his cancer. He did play with the Apple Packers Senior American Legion that summer, but was weak from his cancer so he didn't see to much action. His senior year which he just completed he played 3rd base as well as pitched some. He was named the Senior Male Spring athlete of the year for 2009 at WHS. He also received the Brain Flones award for 2009 Baseball for overcoming and continuing to strive to do what he loves. Graduated in the tp 10% of his class with his grade point average.
